Human Resources Generalist
CurrentOn-site bilingual HR professional supporting four Steel Container Manufacturing sites. Manage the day-to-day- human resources activities. Facilitate effective communication between high leadership, management and employees. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract skilled talent. Coordinate interviews with the Recruitment department, for all exempt and non-exempt candidates. Manage all new hire onboarding and off boarding process, Review Benefit Administration for all new hires and Open Enrollment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws. Update HR policies to comply with legal requirements and industry standards. Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations governing the steel industry. Comply with I9 regulations, review and prepare all new hire documents, review and update all job descriptions. Coach and mentor leadership on best practices. Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and grievances. Mediate conflicts and facilitate communication between employees and management.Anticipate skill gaps and develop plans for recruitment or training. Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for employees. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and provide training. Implement and manage performance appraisal processes. Work with management to address performance issues and develop improvement plans. Administer and communicate employee benefit programs.Ensure compliance with compensation policies and practices. Conduct market analysis research for salary competitiveness within the industry. Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures. Investigate and report workplace accidents and incidents. Generate monthly turnover, and attendance reports. 25% travel to domestic plants. Utilize KPI to keep track of HR objectives.
