Starting out as a university student on the front desk, I was able to be promoted to the activities and tournament coordinator at Mayfair West, which was an integral part of the club culture. Leaving to work at the Ontario Tennis Association experience helped with the transition back into the club. Many years later, I would return again as the General Manager of the entire facility. This experience proved to be beneficial in my ability to communicate with the membership and a wide variety of staff as well as problem solve and negotiate conflict.Accounting and payroll and many HR duties were part of day to day responsibilities.
