I love the challenge of helping organisations communicate more successfully with their target audiences.I have worked with a wide range of organisations, from small businesses to Rio Tinto, on everything from developing major communications strategies to writing 140-character social media posts.I am extremely skilled in finding the compelling essence in a piece of complex information and thoroughly enjoyed doing this with medical researchers at The University of Queensland. This enabled researchers to make their important work more accessible and “donation worthy”. As well as supporting the fundraising team, I also helped researchers with publicity and providing media training.As a communications/marketing consultant in Gladstone, Queensland during the LNG boom, I worked across in a range of sectors and communications mediums. My clients included Gladstone Regional Airport, Gladstone Regional Council, as well as small businesses, including a dentist, landscaper and engineering and law firms. Since returning to Brisbane in 2016, I have focused on developing my skills as a Tai Chi for Health instructor (teaching classes for retirement facilities and the public), while servicing a small number of communications/marketing clients and providing project support for BBS Communications.
