Senior Buyer
Current• Resolve AP issues, ensuring timely vendor payments • Execute procurement functions: RFI, RFQ, RFP • Manage and arrange transportation of materials based on shipping terms and needs utilizing various shipping methods: bulk, full truckload, and less-than-truckload• Negotiate freight rates based on current market, quantity, material, and urgency• Work closely with stakeholders including business units, department managers, and suppliers to improve cost, quality, and service key performance measures• Maximize cost savings through fixed pricing agreements • Constantly review and assess economics of local purchase against foreign purchase with consideration given to quality, certification, costs and lead times• Manage orders totaling over $500K quarterly
