Marlene Reynolds earned a MA and a BA at Stanford University, graduating in education. She has taught mentally gifted minors in elementary school and adults at American River Community College. Her diverse qualifications include a Real Estate Broker's License, a General Contractor's License, and an Insurance license with Securities #63 designation. Marlene has been a community service volunteer for thirty-five years. Having served as President of six community service organizations and one state organization, she also became the Pacific Region Chairperson representing national United Cerebal Palsy. She is a founder of the Garden Casa, a successful luncheon restaurant for over thirty-five years, which is staffed by volunteers and directly benefits The Sacramento Children's Home. Mostly recently, as President of the Board of Trustees of the City of Clive Public Library, Marlene was an officer of the Iowa State Library Trustees and founder of the Friends of the Libraries of the State of Iowa. A lifetime community service volunteer, Marlene has trained volunteers, officers, and boards of non-profit organizations. Holder of a UNR Extended Studies Certificate in Excellence in Non-Profit Management; her fields of interest are Non-Profit Fundraising, Board Development, and Volunteer Management.
