Work hard and be nice to people. It is really that simple. Navigating the murky waters of young adulthood, I was always unsure of the exact career path I wanted to pursue. One thing I did know is that I loved connecting with people. After becoming a Virginia Wesleyan University graduate with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management and a Minor in Sociology, I realized there's no better combo for a Human Resources professional. As an HR Coordinator for Oldcastle APG Mid-Atlantic, I wear many hats. My skillset includes coordinator functions, payroll and timecard auditing, new hire and temp management, monthly newsletter releases, communications champion, random DOT management, and more. As my career in HR has only just begun, I plan to expand my areas of expertise and take advantage of every learning opportunity.
