Marley Dodenhof Email and Phone Number
Current Undergraduate student at the University of Michigan pursuing Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Physics. I am inspired by the future of technology; specifically military aviation, the ways we can create fuel-efficient aircrafts, and how to explore new frontiers beyond Earth. I am committed to making a positive impact on the world through all of these endeavors.

Manufacturing Subteam MemberM-Fly Aero Design Sep 2023 - PresentAnn Arbor, Michigan, United StatesI have contributed to the manufacturing of remote-controlled Hi-Lift plane for SAE competition. As a team, we collaborate to develop a plane with maximal wingspan while increasing payload. In order to do so, we work with restrictive material to optimize the aircraft performance, including being trained to use specific machinery. -
Active MemberFirst Generation College Students @ Michigan Sep 2022 - PresentAnn Arbor, Michigan, United StatesAs a participating member in FGCS, we work to promote a sense of empowerment, community, and pride for first generation college students at the University of Michigan. I work within the club to promote higher education goals despite academic, financial, and social obstacles. -
Active MemberUniversity Of Michigan Aiaa Sep 2023 - PresentAnn Arbor, Michigan, United StatesAs an active member, I have contributed to technical professional development within the program along with attending many conferences, workshops, and seminars including the U of M x UNSW Aerospace Symposium. In doing so, we network with many industry professionals and researchers within the industry, promoting Aeronautical Engineering. -
Laboratory MemberTechnische Universität Berlin May 2024 - Jul 2024Berlin, GermanyWind tunnel testing is pertinent to the understanding of pressure distribution, flow visualiza-tion, and the overall affect of lift and drag forces on an open, or closed vehicle. Our team wastasked with using SolidWorks to design and 3D print an aerodynamic attachment for 1:18 scaled, closed, road-vehicle models, causing additional drag force and allowing a further investigation of pressure gradient and airflow. In order to do so, we drilled holes along the line of symmetry of the model and attached silicon tubing so wall pressure could be measured. Assuming the pressure changes lineallydue to quasi two-dimensional flow, the pressure also changes linearly horizontally acrossthe vehicle’s width. Using MatLab, proper analysis of wind tunnel testing data and discrete numericalintegration was determined. -
Director Of Womens EmpowermentKappa Theta Pi - Professional Technology Fraternity Dec 2023 - May 2024Ann Arbor, Michigan, United StatesI help to foster professional and technological development with new members of the club. I facilitate and organize bi-weekly events for 50+ women to foster a safe and inclusive environment. By participating in workshops, mentorship programs, and hackathons, we spread discuss and promote technological innovation and advancements. -
Active MemberWomen In Aeronautics And Astronautics Sep 2023 - May 2024Ann Arbor, Michigan, United StatesIn WAA, we are dedicated to empowering and supporting women in aeronautics by creating an uplifting and innovative community. Along with our mentorship program, we have established a community with alumni and new members. We continue to hold conferences and collaborate within workshops and seminars to foster networking and advocacy for women in Aerospace. -
Production AssistantUniversity Of Michigan Center For Entrepreneurship (Cfe) Aug 2023 - May 2024Ann Arbor, Michigan, United StatesI assisted in the organization and production of Entrepreneurship Hour 407 each week, including accommodating with guest speakers, and networking with these industry professionals. I helped other students in the class, ensuring all questions and needs were answered, and that class ran smoothly. -
Research AssistantCreighton University Jan 2022 - May 2022Omaha, Nebraska, United StatesThe goal of our experiment was to develop a time-domain fluorescence spectrometer to characterize rare-earth nanoparticles. Specifically, my partner and I improved and programmed the optical tool. Through LabVIEW we tracked how light emitted through different particles.
