Marley Sharp is an Australian Actor/Musician/Cultural Consultant working in Community Cultural Development in and around his community. He is from the KuKu Yalanji and Muluridji tribes of Tropical Far North Queensland. Prior to Marley’s acting career, Marley applied his skills as a Aboriginal dancer at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland Australia. He then moved on and found a new passion for Radio Presenting with Goolarri Media Enterprises in Broome Western Australia, which ultimately led him to being discovered for his first acting role on SBS series ‘The Circuit’. This was closely followed by a role in ABC Telemovie ‘Valentines Day’. To highlight a massive 2007 of acting for Marley he finished off the year with a featured role in feature film Stone Bros. In 2008, Marley was called back for the second series of ‘The Circuit’ and played an extra on feature film ‘Bran Nue Dae’. For the past few years Marley has dedicated his time to his family and young children foremost, whilst also juggling an active role as a musician and working in cultural development in and around his community. Another major focus for Marley is his new company ‘Live Your Dream Productions’ where he is taking steps towards producing and directing his own films and conducting Cultural Workshops. His latest achievements in 2012 & 2013 was a lead role in ABC’s two time Logie Award winning drama series REDFERN NOW Series 1 & 2, playing the lead role of Eddie Shields in Episode - Standup and Episode - Pokies Co-Starring with Ursula Yovich. Marley Sharp is an incredibly naturally talented actor whom has had no professional training and is independently building his own career and making a name for himself in the Australian Film Industry. As an Indigenous actor he is a role model and inspiration to his people. Marley is known as a cultural ambassador musically, artistically and environmentally.
