Co-Working Space:As part of a small team, I worked on a 5000sf co-working space, located on the Sasaki Campus. This space was to showcase the innovative capabilities of Sasaki, while simultaneously providing a stimulating yet productive environment where individuals could come to work, share ideas and learn from one another. Responsibilities included conceptual design through detail drawings of multiple different work areas (quiet, hoteling, permanent, lounge, conference, huddle). FF&E, tel/data, media, and AV decisions, and research and development of new products were also integral to the design and development of this space.Akamai Headquarters:Akamai Technologies took a big step forward in consolidating their six Cambridge offices into one global headquarters by hiring Sasaki to design their new headquarters within a 480,000 SF building, located in Cambridge's Kendall Square. The office will feature a continuous mile of collaborative space that flows through the building's 19 floors. This mile-long path will be an active zone, affording ample space for conference rooms, amenities, and collaborative areas. Outside of this "mile" reside workstations for 2000+ employees, quiet rooms, mother's rooms, and more. As part of the original team, I was present during the interview process and worked through conceptual and schematic design; including test fits, programming, research, material and furniture studies.
