During the summer of 2023 I am interning at Bright Spire Capital in NYC on their corporate accounting team. In this role I assist with reviewing and booking financial transactions, while also getting to learn about the entirety of how REITs operate, especially in the post pandemic setting.

As an incoming sophomore I was hired by my University's athletic department and their Learning Assistance department to work with a group of athletes, tutoring them in Elon's Principles of Accounting course. Additionally I held 2 drop in hours a week available for any students. This job improved my leadership skills as I acted as a peer role model for these students.

My favorite venue to work at was the Culinary Institute of America where I got to work weddings and business conferences.

I worked for a startup franchise, Blends Salad and Smoothie Bar throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. My location was located inside a supermarket, so our employees had lots of responsibilities as there was not much floor space for a manager. During my time there my responsibilities were food prep (washing, cutting fruits, and cooking food), taking orders and delivering high quality customer service. After being there for a few months I got the title as shift leader with the additional responsibilities of training new employees, managing online orders, facilitating daily tasks, directing cleaning and closing, and communicating with management opportunities for improvement. I feel that this role increased my sense of professional responsibility greatly.

During High School I worked in a Lifestyle Center for a retirement community, which consisted of a gym, pool, and two big halls for various sorts of events. As a receptionist I had to answer phone calls and answer questions about events, keep track of rented equipment and supplies, and greet guests as they entered - making sure they signed in. Sometimes I would assist in organizing and monitoring events while socializing with the residents. Additionally, I had to close up the center at the end of the night. I had gotten this job from previously lifeguarding at the facilities pool.
