Using my environmental expertise, I act as an advisor to a developing international environmental news outlet by providing topics and research about ongoing environmental issues for the teams writers.

- Leading the sustainability program by implementing a successful composting and recycling system and furthering employees knowledge on eco-friendly business practices.- Develop training requirements for front of house staff members and oversee day to day business operations - Responsible for reporting business operations to senior management and accounting team members

- Carried out restoration projects such as native planting, invasive species removal, prescribed burns, and land surveys on public and private land to ensure the long term health of local biodiversity

- Conducted primary and secondary research to provide an environmental assessment report in favor of land conservation and proper land management while discouraging the development of a proposed rocket launching site on the coastline of Lake Superior - This research calculated KPI'S to set benchmarks for the site by looking at current biodiversity levels and sound pollution as well as simulated the effects the rocket launching site would have on these set benchmarks

- Carried out local, state, and federal grant projects to restore environmental quality, monitor ecosystems, and benefit local biodiversity with a crew of 4 members throughout the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan and part of Northern Wisconsin.- Projects included, native species planting, land surveying using GPS, invasive species removal, dump site restorations, beach clean ups, historical preservation, leek survey and data collection, and erosion control.- Projects allowed our team to collaborate with Michigan DNR, USFS, Bay Mills tribe, Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, local land conservancies, NOAA, and Historicorps- During week long projects we both worked and camped in tents in a wide range of weather conditions
