Supervised electrical installation, startup, and documentation turnover to client. Our contract was with Wanzek, who was kicked off of this project shortly after I started, which accounts for the brief time I was there.

QA/QC on new 140 mile 345kv transmission line project, north of Big Spring TX. Inspected concrete foundations, and steel latic tower construction, to make sure all work met specifications, was performed safely, and the customer was getting a quality product.

Directed construction of the 35kV underground cable installation, MV splicing and terminations, at a wind farm in upstate New York, with 70 Vestas V112 3 megawatt turbines. Construction included approx 380,000' of underground cable installation, 35kV terminations at all switchgears within turbine bases, approx 50 J-boxes throughout the site, with multiple MV terminations at each, and multiple underground 35kV splices. Coordinating work with and between multiple crafts and subcontractors.

Managed all phases of electrical work on the project. Including 115/34.5kv substaion & switchyard const., collection system installation, 34.5 overhead line installation, & downtower wiring, for 25 2.04 RePower wind turbine generaters.

QC Manager - Corps of Engineers proj.115kV Transformer Install, Garrison Dam Power PlantRiverdale, NDBefore taking the position, I was required to attend and successfully complete a Corps of Engineers QCS training school, and receive a certification of qualification to serve as Quality Control Manager on Corps of Engineers projects. Duties included daily inspections of all ongoing work under the IES contract, recording and tracking deficiencies, reporting to IES and the COE on a daily basis of all progress, delays, and resolutions of deficiencies. I was also responsible for reviewing all submittals, sending them to the designated Corps offices, and inspecting all materials and equipment received at the site, to insure they meet specifications and matched what was submitted.

Hired to help establish a presence in the Renewable Energy Industry, and use my experience to help with marketing, bidding, procurement of tools, materials, manpower, and to oversee construction/installations of all phases of electrical installations within the renewable energy industries as a Project Manager.

Managed the electrical installation on a wind farm project near Panhandle TX. The project had 53 1.5mw GE wind turbines. We installed approx. 180,000' of collection system trench & cable, a sub-station, transmission line, all down tower wiring, and all cable terminations. I was in charge of overseeing all phases of the electrical installation, including the operations of several sub-contractors we used on the project, and insure all work was completed within the guidelines of all specifications.

Managed daily operations at the Tye TX field office, and supervised the electrical collection system installation, at the Post Oak wind farm, near Abilene TX. The project had 100 1.5mw Siemens wind turbines. We installed approx. 240,000' of collection system trench & cable, and all cable terminations. I oversaw all phases of the collection system installation.As Operations Mgr. my duties were as follows:Site walk prospective projects, and assist in the bidding process. Mobilized office space, materials, equipment, and personnel to/from jobsites. Meet with and set up accounts with vendors in areas near new projects.Managed maintenance and repairs of the vehicles and heavy equipment fleets.Assisted in marketing efforts at trade shows, and meetings with project owners and general contractors, on perspective new projects.

Managed all daily business activities at the Abilene TX and Austin TX offices/shops. Estimated and bid on large and small electrical construction projects. Negotiated contracts. Secured personnel, materials, and equipment for all projects.

Managed projects of various sizes and functions, many of which were government projects on Dyess Air Force Base, under supervision of the Corps of Engineers. I worked closely with many COE Engineers and inspectors on a daily basis to insure projects were done to meet all specifications, and completed on schedule. Pre 1990, I spent 10 years as a licensed electrician, foreman and/or superintendent, working on large industrial projects of all types. Many of which were power plants, gas plants, and many other types of energy related facilities. Also served as the company QC Manager, overseeing all 138kV & 345kV transmission line and substation construction, we sub contracted out to outside contractors.Creating and maintaining cultures of personnel safety, and teamwork to achieve maximum workmanship quality, productivity, and profits, are my main priorities on any project site. But safety and quality workmanship should never be compromised for the sake of either productivity or profits.
