About Marlo Martin
My name is Marlo and I'm a qualified educator,TVET Business Studies Lecturer, facilitator, speaker and a licensed registered psychological counsellor. In 2011, my passion for the education and psychology industry was ignited while facilitating Life Skills workshops to young students, as part of a community project. I was truly inspired by this experience and decided to pursue my postgraduate studies further in the fields of education and psychology. I graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2012 with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) coupled with a B.Ed (Hons) in Educational Psychology in 2013. In October 2014, I successfully passed my Psychology Board Exams to then register as a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Furthermore, I started my teaching career as an Academic Support Facilitator at Boland TVET College where I facilitated Study Skills and Job Readiness classes to college students for three years. I'm currently working as a full-time lecturer mainly teaching Nated: Business Studies subjects. My specialities include: Teaching, Speaking & Facilitating on topics related to Soft Skills, Sport & Positive Psychology, Presenting Academic and Career development talks and workshops.
