Responsibilities:• Provided comprehensive patient-centered education and preparation regarding diagnostic breast imaging and image-guided breast biopsy procedures, including pre-procedure care coordination and biopsy scheduling.• Provided direct patient care in collaboration with breast radiologists and radiology technologist staff during and after image-guided breast biopsy procedures.• Communicated both benign and malignant biopsy results to patients and coordinated follow-up care, including initial surgical consultation and additional diagnostic and procedural needs.• Facilitated one-on-one comprehensive in-person education sessions for patients newly diagnosed with breast cancer and their caregivers.• Served as a subject matter expert for primary care providers and allied health professionals within the organization on breast health topics including cancer prevention, early detection strategies, diagnosis and breast disease management. • Served as a preceptor for nurses new to the breast care nurse navigator role.• Used descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques via Microsoft Excel to collect and disseminate pertinent nurse navigator outcome metrics to Froedtert Breast Care and RAYUS Radiology leadership.• Guest speaker for various cancer support groups on sexual health in cancer survivorship.• Facilitated a monthly Healing Words expressive writing support group through Froedtert.Accomplishments:• Achieved Level 4 nursing status through the 2019-2021 and the 2021-2023 Froedtert Hospital Professional Development Pathway program.• Appeared as a guest subject matter expert on the Medical College of Wisconsin's podcast The Word on Medicine.• Presented at the national Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Bridge 2022 virtual conference on the topic of AYA psychosocial and sexual health.• Invited to participate at a subject matter expert on sexual health in oncology populations for the ONS Oncology Nursing Podcast in February 2022.
