The alliance's goal is to enhance the effectiveness, timeliness, reach and quality of the Dutch humanitarian aid efforts. The DRA responds to humanitarian crises by designing Joint Responses drawn up and implemented by the members best placed to respond to a crisis. The members are CARE Nederland, Cordaid, Dorcas, Oxfam Novib, Plan International Nederland, Red een Kind, SOS Kinderdorpen, Save the Children, Stichting Vluchteling, Terre des Hommes, Tearfund, Warchild, War Trauma Foundation, World Vision and ZOA. In 2022, Tearfund is the chair of Dutch Relief Alliance and my contract is with them. My responsibilities and tasks include: - Taking minutes during meetings with the Board of Supervisors, Board of Directors, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Partners and Working Groups. - Ensuring managerial, communicative and administrative order in the functioning of the Board of Directors.- Regulate information flows, and collate large quantities of information into cohesive reports.- Managing the agenda of the Board and create order in the decision-making.- Manage correspondence and various documents to internal and external relations in Dutch and English based on consultation with the persons responsible. Keeping correspondence and other information and records up-to-date, complete and accessible.- Organizing and planning for the main DRA meetings (face to face, via Skype or teleconference), workshops and working groups and keep deadlines in mind relating to these meetings.- Supporting any event that DRA is organizing.

Thesis Research
The thesis research is about adaptation strategies of households in Nabilatuk Sub-County and Nabilatuk Town Council to cope with drought impacts. Research activities include:• Extensive literature review, utilizing recent reports and articles of NGOs and experts in the field.• Conducting interviews with households.• Conducting focus group discussions with households.• Using models to analyse the collected data; Sustainable Livelihoods Framework, Food Consumption Score and the Livelihoods Vulnerability Index. • Data processing using SPSS Statistics.• Organizing and facilitating a consultation session to share preliminary research findings and receive feedback.• Writing a comprehensive research report discussing the results and recommendations of the research. • Writing an article in which the research is summarized for an in-expert audience.
Research
The research is was about evaluating youth programmes of Café Africa and Kyagalanyi. The two organizations implemented trainings on coffee cultivation, good agronomic practices and entrepreneurship to youth (18 – 35 year olds). Research was conducted in a research team of four Ugandan students and two Dutch students. Research activities included: • Developing a questionnaire and research questions.• Conducting interviews with the program participants consisting of young farmers across different regions in Uganda.• Meetings and consultations with the research team. • Processing collected interview information.• Providing recommendations to the involved organizations based on the research findings.• Writing a comprehensive research report. • Presenting the research to the involved organisations, project stakeholders, Makerere and Bukalasa students and other interested parties.
Internship
The focus of the internship was climate change, drought, water shortages and irrigation. Internship activities included:• Analysing challenges and current measures to manage (future) water shortage risks and providing recommendations regarding water conservation, water quality and environmental, social and economic sustainability.• Writing a plan to improve the water use practices of local communities living alongside the plantation. • Analysing the company and its organizational structure. • Supporting the daily activities of the irrigation department.
