As a physiotherapist and ultrasonographist I am very interested in everything that moves the human being. In the last few years I have gained knowledge about the working of the human body in terms of anatomy, physiology, neurology and additionally the psychology behind this movement.My studies were very internationally oriented as I went to Finland and Australia for my internships. This has developed my English proficiency. I completed my bachelor degree in Physiotherapy with a grade 9,4 for my thesis, which has given me the chance to speak at the Physiotherapy Symposium at Fontys. The subject of my study was musculoskeletal ultrasound of the posterior tibial tendon. You can watch my presentation below.However horses have been my greatest passion throughout my whole life. Therefor I started the study Animal Physiotherapy in 2016 and since I also wanted to develop my knowledge about equine health related science, I created the webpage: www.science-equine.com. Here you find summaries about the latest scientific research in this field. I like to share my knowledge and so I speak at horse-events and give workshops and clinics. Since September 2018 I am also an editor for the NVFD (Dutch Society for Animal Physiotherapy).
