Provide training and technical assistance to Teaching Staff, Site Directors and others to support the agency's early development programs. Contributes to the program goals and is responsible for the facilitation of the education component at all 4 sites. It is my responsibility to work directly with children, parents, and staff and to maintain open communication with them in order to ensure a quality education program.

Glendale Heights

Responsible for improving the quality of child care for infants, toddlers and two-year old, with a focus on at-risk children. Provide training, technical assistance and capacity-building in child care settings. Functions as a Consultant to others and brings an effective understanding and practices in high quality child care as it relates to and affects child development, especially for infants, toddlers and two-year olds. Also will develop thorough knowledge of programs including PITC, ITERS, and others.

Director of Early Beginnings, Home Based Program Provide appropriate resources mandated by DCFS/DHS for parent involvement and home visiting components. Oversee the recruitment of eligible clients and maintains target caseload of 50 pregnant women. Establish and maintain working relationships with the community to promote and interpret the program to the community at large. Interview and assists in the selection of program staff in conjunction with the Human Resources Department and others as designed. Coordinates and established the Early Beginnings Home Based Program. Supervise all site staff, including performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.Conducts regular staff meetings and one-on-one supervision sessions.Maintains a quality program that meets the needs of the population being served. Develop program objectives for the fiscal year. Perform all other related responsibilities in accordance with programmatic needs of the agency.

Provided educational health and human services, advocacy, community and economic development to adolescents who were in DCFS custody. Assisted adolescents in preparing for adulthood by providing counseling, employment assistance and educational/life skills training. Referred adolescents for services as needed, collaborated with case managers in reviewing and planning individual service plans.

Provided bi-weekly home visits to 20 families of children from the ages 0- 3 years old for 60 minutes. Provided paraprofessional assistance and educational instruction to program participants.Introduced parents to become their child's first teacher through the curriculum, Parents as Teachers (PAT).

Provided weekly home visits to a caseload of 12 enrolled children/pregnant women for 90 minutes Planned and facilitated two family socializations each month. Facilitated bonding of parent/child relationships by providing developmentally appropriate parent/child activities. Worked collaboratively with all staff members and neighborhood communities in a family-centered model.
