As a Senior Content & Copywriter for The British Education Group, I create content for a network of educational institutes in the UK, UAE and Nepal. In this capacity, I write copy including newsletters, articles, blogs, webpages, and social media content. I also work with the marketing team to create promotional material and use SEO optimisation as well as SaaS platforms to sell courses and products to students and deliver online material. I also work with B2B clients and write proposals, press releases and newsletters which I thoroughly research, edit and fact-check. For four years I worked onsite in Nepal and I am now working remotely from the UK.

NepaliPatra is the leading Nepalese news portal in the UK, Nepal and Australia. Whilst living in Nepal I worked on a part-time, freelance basis contributing to news & local updates. I also fact-checked the work of others and edited English content on their website. Whilst here I worked in a fast-paced environment and met strict deadlines. I also used my strong interpersonal skills to connect with people and produce the best stories possible.

Minute Media Ltd. is an international digital media publisher based in the UK. I worked here in a freelance capacity and was assigned articles, blogs and listicles each week on a diverse range of topics, including travel, lifestyle, beauty, history, celebrity news, and trending topics. I had to adapt my writing style based on varying audiences and objectives, use AP language and be comfortable writing in both British and American English.

My Everest Trip is a leading travel company in Nepal. I worked here on a part-time, freelance basis, editing staff profiles, landing pages, and FAQs. I also wrote trip itineraries, destination bios, and travel blogs. I used SEO to improve their web presence and boost sales and I worked autonomously to complete work to specific deadlines.

Before I began my career as a writer, I taught English as a foreign language. My last position in this capacity was at a language school called English for All in Kathmandu, Nepal. Whilst here I worked as an IELTS specialist, teaching people reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to help them pass their English exams. This involved having an excellent understanding of English grammar, which has been useful whilst working as a writer, especially when proofreading the work of colleagues for whom English is a second language.

My first position teaching English as a foreign language was in Treviso, Italy. In this position, I taught all ages, class sizes and levels. which has given me great confidence now when delivering presentations. This also required me to have good interpersonal and organisational skills as I would write lesson plans, correct homework and work with a vast range of students from business clients through to primary school children.
