I teach gentle, effective alternatives for people to build stronger relationships with their dogs, to address canine behavioral concerns, and to develop and improve their dog’s basic manners. Typical effects include increased confidence, reduced stress, and improved communication for dogs and their humans.My approach draws on 20+ years’ experience in diverse areas of education, honed through intensive study and experience in Tellington TTouch® and rewards-based methods of dog training and stress reduction.

  Joyful Dog LLC helps dogs and their humans to enhance communication, confidence, and skills. Joyful Dog LLC specializes in using the combination of touch, body wraps and balanced movement developed by Linda Tellington-Jones (Tellington TTouch®). Groundwork exercises help dog and human work in a place of both physical and emotional balance. Specialized activities engage the dog’s nervous system, providing novel experiences to help the animal develop more positive behaviors in the face of previously stressful circumstances. In addition, Joyful Dog LLC draws on Marnie’s range of experience in teaching people, combined with in-depth training in Tellington TTouch and through Peaceable Paws Intern Academies, and continuing education with other master trainers, to create a tailored approach for each situation.
