Well, hello there!Communication, collaboration, process, empathy, and creativity are my specialties. Both my undergraduate and graduate degrees focused on these skillsets, and I’ve now spent the last 18+ years fine tuning them in a creative operations, content strategy, and content development career. In my current role at Yummly (a subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation), I strategize and develop premium content across Web, iOS, Android, and IoT devices for our subscription kitchen assistant product. I use competitive analyses, monitor trends in the food space, and partner with the Analytics Team to inform the types of content users want to see most on Yummly. I am in constant pursuit of new ways to increase engagement and build affinity for our awesome kitchen-centric products. Long form written content, Instagram stickers, SEO-optimized landing pages, Pinterest pins, 404 error pages, and more. Previously, as Content Marketing Manager at eBay, I headed up the eBay Trending Program, a highly effective content marketing initiative where I used eBay search data to surface and editorialize daily trends on the homepage of eBay.com. I also oversaw eBay's social engagement program, which deepened the interactions between eBay and the customer, brought a human element and personality to the eBay brand, and lent a voice to the customer. Prior to eBay, I was the digital content strategy lead for some of the most iconic international brands such as Power Rangers, Paul Frank, and other Saban Brands properties, including new original IP. During my 5 years at Goldstar, I built and spearheaded Goldstar's social media presence from the ground up, and managed all engagement programs on these platforms.I earned my MA in Communication Management from the Annenberg School at USC, where I also participated in a three-year research fellowship in linguistics. I have regularly competed in grammar competitions, and won 1st place in the U.S. in 2001. Needless to say, I can catch a typo at the speed of light, and copyediting is one of my strengths.In my free time, I am most likely baking (check out my baking blog at www.happygomarni.com). Having penned a blog for several years, I consider myself a prolific writer and socializer! Due to my expert sweet tooth, I was invited to judge the LA Cupcake Challenge twice, and I won Best Cream Pie at the KCRW Good Food Pie Contest. My coworkers sometimes benefit from this baking hobby.
