About Marnix Arickx
Having worked for about 20 years in various functions in the Financial Services Industry, I have build up an extensive experience in Asset Management.Having started at Generale Bank, I first held positions in Investment Strategy, Portfolio Management and Sales. I later moved to Fund Engineering, were I was responsible for the European fund range of Fortis Investments and later BNPP Investment Partners (new name: BNP Paribas Asset Management). Recently, I am leading a number of transversal projects including the Alternative Investment Managers Directive project.The above have allowed me to acquire a broad skill set including Client Relationship Management, Product Development, Team Management and Project Management.Since 2014, I am a Board Member of BEAMA and acted as President of BEAMA from June 2017 until June 2020. A non-profit organisation, the aim of the BEAMA is to represent the asset management profession, to develop asset management activities in Belgium and to improve the image of this association and its members, without jeopardising the autonomy of its members. ‘Asset management’ covers, among other things, the promotion, management, distribution and administrative processing of collective investment instruments as well as the institutional management, the management on behalf of private customers and investment advice.
