Authorised for operating on voltages from 0V up to including 132kv.Ensure continuity of supply to reticulation and urban customers by planning, maintaining, repairing and building in accordance with Eskom Policies Directives, Standards, Procedures, Dead and Live work practices, Guidelines, and Service Agreements on the electrical network up and to and including 132kv.Operating, switching, inspecting and barricading on Distribution overhead lines, 11kv up to 132kv to ensure continuity of supply.Maintenance and planning on Distribution overhead lines 11kv up to including 33kv and Reticulation lines, 0V up to and including 1000V.Performing Live Work on Low Voltage systems.Substation inspection, monitoring, operating and planning, identifying of defects, capturing of such and clearing of these defects.Ensuring safe working sites by opening, isolating, safety testing and earthing in accordance of our ORHVS (Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems) and ORLVS (Operating Regulations for Low Voltage Systems).Executing meter change outs and revenue protection checks.Leading and performing dead work maintenance on distribution and reticulation lines.Respond to callouts from the dispatcher during abnormal conditions and power supply interruptions on a 24 hour basis to minimize customer interruption times.Planning, negotiating and executing system reconfiguration, within competency and resource constraints, and activating additional resource requirement to execute immediate restoration of supply to customers or the network.Install, evaluate and commissioning of new plant or assets on the network by means of designing, building, phasing, phase rotation, settings, handing over procedures, updating data files, revising network diagrams and sanctioning of such equipment.Ensuring tools are maintained, kept clean, inspected and tested as required.Serve the customer by investigating customer complaints, claims and quality of supply queries. etc
