Maroua is a 21 year old Human Rights Activist and Gender Advocate.As an Advocacy Officer with the Young Arab Feminists Coalition. Under her leadership, the coalition collaborates with international organizations to amplify the importance of gender equality in the global south, the Arab world, and the MENA region. In addition to her work with Young Arab Feminists, Maroua serves as a representative of the GIRL UP-UN Women committee in Marrakech. Her notable achievements include organizing a feminist sports camp, the first of its kind in Marrakech, which united more than 40 girls under the goal of breaking down gender barriers in sports. The event, featuring training sessions, workshops, tournaments, and panel discussions led by inspiring female soccer players, was a resounding success in encouraging Moroccan girls to pursue sports and bridge the gender gap in athletics.Maroua's commitment to gender advocacy extends to her involvement with GIRL UP Arab World-UN Women Coalition, where she has been a dynamic girl leader. Her efforts have significantly contributed to advancing discussions on innovation, technological change, and education in the digital age, with a focus on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. Furthermore, as a member of the Executive Board for DOITFORHER Uganda Association, she has actively participated in campaigns promoting gender equality and reproductive rights in Uganda.Pursuing a bachelor's degree in International Relations and minoring in Political Science at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Faculty of Governance for Social and Economic Sciences.
