As the Principal Architect at CARDO ARCHITECTS, I lead with a focus on creating concept-driven, sustainable designs that align with our clients’ visions and environmental responsibilities. I am deeply involved in all phases of the architectural process, from initial client consultations and design proposals through to schematic design, design development, permit acquisition, and detailed execution drawings.With a commitment to energy-efficient and cost-effective practices, I prioritize the use of local resources to enhance both sustainability and affordability. My role includes reconciling design aspirations with financial feasibility, ensuring that each project remains within budget while meeting high standards of design integrity. Additionally, I oversee ongoing construction to maintain quality control, ensuring that the realized spaces reflect both the practical needs and aesthetic intentions we set forth at the design stage.

The position at NYDA includes the design and management of several projects in NYC, which is a high end design environment driven by a delicate balance between cost, efficiency and results. It includes managing a team of professionals working with BIM software such as Revit, CAD programs such as AutoCAD and Visualization programs such as sketchup and Lumion. Position includes coordinating engineers and meeting with clients as well as construction management, owner’s representation in the field and working with local municipal and state agencies.

Responsible for delivering engaging lectures and supervising research projects in the domains of design, history, and theory, as well as developing courses focused on sustainable architecture for undergraduate and graduate students. With access to state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive academic community, the position included a strong emphasis on research and publication.

Full operational oversight - management and guidance of instructors and professors including teaching loads, schedules, supervision, mentoring, appointments and reappointments. Supervision of student’s body of over 150 students in the Faculty. Preparation of faculty budgets, financial updates and monitoring of expenditures and inventory. Reporting directly to the Dean, I collaborated closely with faculty and staff to ensure that the Faculty runs smoothly and efficiently.

Architectural Design leadership. Liaising with clients and drafting design proposals and developing and implementing design plans ranging from schematic design to design development, permit acquisition and execution drawings. Focus on energy efficiency in the design process in accordance with sustainable design practices. Cost efficient design practices with focus on local resources. Reconciliation of design and financial feasibility of projects within designated budgets. Supervision of ongoing construction and quality control.

Design management of several hospitality and commercial projects in the state of New Jersey. Focus on the synchronization of design to cost during the design phase as well as the review and markup of permit and execution drawings. Coordination of engineers’ drawings in relation to the architectural drawings, and the modification of the architectural drawings after the engineers input. Project production management of design, permit and execution drawings and preparation of drawings for bidding purposes.

Close collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensureseamless coordination, aligning designs with project requirements and adhering tospecified timelines. Supervising dedicated design teams, with meticulousmanagement of design processes while upholding compliance with rigorousarchitectural standards. Proficiency in utilizing cutting-edge design software andadept budget management. Management of multiple deadlines and resolvingconflicts among stakeholders.

Management of construction works for several city authorities in NYC such as DASNY and NYCHA and managing several construction teams. Orchestrated seamless collaboration for critical infrastructure projects. Efficiently led construction teams, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines. Demonstrated proficiency in steel construction and fabrication for telecommunication sites with thorough knowledge of steel construction, profiles, assemblies, shop drawings reviews and assemblies.
