About Marcel Arpogaus
The shift toward a sustainable society is the greatest challenge of our century.Therefore, I am committed to the research and development of open technologies to mitigate climate change and enable a safe and fair future for all.I am currently working as a research associate in the AI4Grids project on the complete electrification of the energy grid based on renewable energy sources, utilizing AI-based control and planning algorithms.This enables grid operators to deal with fluctuations caused by solar or wind energy generation, as well as consumption by electric vehicles and heat pumps.In doing so, I also supervise bachelor's and master's theses and student projects to get more students interested in these relevant topics.
