• Accounts Payable (AP) and Travel and Expenses (T&E) accounting department head for a $500M business across Latin America.• Also supported in turns the Account Receivables (AR), Project Accounting (PA) and General Ledger (GL) teams, including month-end closing, revenue and cost analysis, unbilled & unearned revenue balances reviews and follow up.• Managed a team of 15 people, including recruitment, performance reviews, coaching, promotions and other HR aspects.• Successfully closed and complied with all regulatory requirements of internal/external audits and the Department of Justice of the United States (US DOJ).• Implemented a new expense reporting system (GATES) reducing employees reporting time (employee debt) from 180-360 days to 60 days, improving also it’s mapping to the ERP to have a correct reporting and assured the compliance for all JCI business units.• Part of the top ten financial leaders in Mexico; and selected out of 40 individuals in the Automotive Experience (AE) Shared Services Center (SSC) in Juarez to create the SSC in Monterrey, Mexico for the Building Efficiency (BE) business Unit.• Developed web databases (eRoom), improving with this the inquiries, follow up and communication times between Sales and Financial teams.• Lead the migration of T&E activities into the SSC from different regions as well as organized, stabilized and streamlined processes such as vendor master management, expenses reports, reimbursements, employees’ advances, credit cards & reconciliations for Latin-America with a scope of 12 countries.• Participated in the compliance audit to Johnson Controls Peru, auditing all areas and departments in order to correct/improve processes, allowing with this the move finance activities to BE SSC in Monterrey, Mexico.

• Responsible for Accounts Receivable at the AE (Automotive Experience) division at SSC Juarez, Mexico, managing more than 100 customers in the US & Mexico with 20 production plants, reducing aged debt in 50% in 1 year, managing cash application, customer payments and statements, general ledger vs. sub-ledger reconciliations, aging report creation, balances of trade (BOT's) between AR and AP for non-paying customers and forecasting.
