As Program Officer, I work across the Foundation's four focus areas (Early Childhood, Healthy Communities, Healthy Food, and Oral Health) with a special emphasis on deepening our work to elevate equity and engage community voice as a shared priority across the state.

- Managed and monitored the City of Raleigh Human Services Agency Grant program, which awards funding to non-profit organizations that provide direct services to vulnerable populations- Planned, executed, and managed programs and activities focused on human relations, cultural awareness, fair housing, youth engagement, substance use, and support for persons with disabilities

- Partnered with diverse community stakeholders to co-create & modernize community programming - Coordinated and facilitated citizen capacity building courses and activities- Utilized innovative techniques to enhance government -community relations which resulted in mutually beneficial solutions

Managed two federally funded Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) grant volunteer programs. Coordinated the Foster Grandparent Program and Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

Worked as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and write individualized family service plans for children with developmental delays. Evaluated and documented child progress based on methods and techniques outlined in the service plan.

-Coordinated a series of engagement efforts in rural North Carolina (NC) to address growing juvenile justice concerns.-Successfully implemented the Juvenile Justice Treatment Continuum (JJTC), a sustainable model that resulted in reducing youth involvement in the juvenile court system & lower recidivism rates. -Actively followed child and family policy and legislative trends to create educational literature for elected officials. -Served as a technical writer for the first Northeastern Nurse Family Partnership Collaborative grant. Resulted in a $500,000 award to bring the evidence- based community health program to rural NC to serve fisrt-time mother's and their families.
