Convert mainframe AF/Operator automation for client LPARs to IBM System Automation for z/OS as IBM has ended support for AF/Operator April 2024. Conversion effort involves 3 LPARs, 800+ CFILE/REXX execs, and 350+ started tasks.

Taught 7 different courses over 5 weeks for Protech Professional Technical Services Inc. on behalf of Broadcom for their Vitality Program, training employees on mainframe z/OS and Broadcom's mainframe automation software product: CA OPS/MVS. Students were thrilled with the hands-on-approach of teaching I used, per their request.

Assisted in conversion of Northwestern Mutual's mainframe automation from Broadcom/CA OPS/MVS to BMC AutoOperator (aka AOIME). In 200 manhours architected, wrote and tested a toolkit of some 25+ REXX routines to emulate functionaility under AutoOperator equivalent to certain heavily used OPS/MVS facilities, such as ADDRESS OPER returning output in external data queue, as an example.Toolkit allowed NM and BMC personnel to accelerate conversion of some 1000+ customer-developed REXX routines and AOF rules to BMC AutoOperator. Project missed its Aug 31, 2021 deadline, at which point I was requested to join in September. Writing the REXX toolkit allowed the project to complete in early October in less than 6 weeks post-missed-deadline.
