At Allan & Martelle, I am responsible for assiting the busy Family Law firm with their daily operations. I am responsible for preparing legal documents and maintaining files and case correspondence, as well as conducting research and analyzing law sources to prepare drafts of briefs or arguments for review, approval, and use by the attorneys. I work closely with the firms clients following up with them and assiting them with finalizing their family law matter. As an associate, I appear on a number of court matters on behalf of the clients and work with opposing parties to negotiate settlement agreements and final judgments.

Researched wage and hour laws, workers compensations claims, unemployment, and other worker’s rights related legal issues and consulted with a supervising attorney to provide the client with relevant legal advice and referral information about all possible claims. Worked with the Labor Commission investigating retaliation claims. Spent 2 year's within the clinic working directly with clients and as a certified law student was able to fully assist client's on my own defending their debt related cases or helping the clients file claims for unfair debt collection practices.
