Since 1985, Mr. Mars Ho has been serving the pharmaceutical industry for 35 years.Mr. Ho is the Chairman and CEO of AUSTAR a well-established group, involved in integrated engineering solutions for pharmaceutical researchers and manufacturers in China and Emerging Countries. Mr. Ho is the founder and chairman of US-based pharmaceutical company, AustarPharma, which is a drug delivery system technology company offering CRO, CMO services and technology licensing partnership opportunities for partners from China and US.Mr. Ho is the founder of STERIS- AUSTAR, PALL-AUSTAR and Austar PMC (currently as “RENOLIT Beijing Medical”). Mr. Ho was elected as “60 elites 60 years” of pharmaceutical industry by a joint scheme organized by 13 pharmaceutical-related associations in 2009 and He received an award of Pioneer Person in pharmaceutical process industry in 2013 by Vogel.Ho has been exploring different formulation technologies and developed knowledge from non-sterile and sterile API, Oral Solid Dosage, Sterile Injectable formulations such as sterile powder and liquid, freeze-dried formulations to Chinese Herbal Drug extraction and formulations and through execution of a large number of projects for products from bulk material antibiotics and vitamins; biological products, sterile chemical drugs; and pharmaceutical processes including fermentation & synthesis, extraction and concentration, filtration and separation, drying and filling , packaging and material handling, clean utilities and automation controls.Mr. Ho graduated from Hong Kong University with his Industrial Engineering bachelor degree in 1985.Mr. Ho is the current board director and officially appointed as technical advisor to the board of China National Pharmaceutical Packaging Association.Since 2011, Mr. Ho has been the editor of a number of well-recognized pharmaceutical professional books published in China such as Pharmaceutical Validation Manual and Pharmaceutical Liquid Process Systems.
