About Mars Huang

I have worked at TSMC for fourteen plus years, across two different fields. I began in equipment maintenance, serving as a maintenance engineer for thin film equipment. My main responsibilities included maintaining AMAT and Novellus machines, with a primary focus on W, WSIX, FSG, HDP and Poly CVD processes. I then worked in the copper process R&D equipment department, focusing on maintaining AMAT copper ECP, Low k FSG and LAM copper CMP equipment. I job rotated to the process integration department, specifically in the yield improvement section, where I was responsible for 0.35UM BCD/DDD High Voltage processes. Subsequently, I rotated to the yield enhancement engineering department, working on yield improvement and project engineering for 28NM processes. TSMC has achieved two significant process developments: the copper process and the High-k Metal Gate process. These are also the only two developments that have received the Chairman’s Award from Chairman Morris Chang.
