As Senior Executive Director of Center Operations, my primary focus is on productivity and efficiency. I work with our 4 employer call centers and assist them in improving the overall delivery of our services to our members. These projects not only improve the quality of our interactions and service, but allow us to do so in a more cost effective way.

As the Director of Account Management, I was ultimately responsible for approximately $10M of our employer revenue and approximately 45 contracts. I had a team of as many as 8 account managers, as well as onsite program managers at many of our client locations. As part of Healthways leadership team, I was involved in the strategy development and execution at the organizational level.

In the role of Senior Account Manager, I took on a larger book of business. With approximately 15 contracts, I was responsible for the satisfaction and retention of some of our largest employer clients. I had 2 account managers that reported to me and supported the day-to-day management of many of these clients. Responsibilities, in addition to people management, included more of the global strategy design and long-term program management.

As an account manager, I worked with many larger employers assisting them in managing their wellness program objectives. My daily responsibilities included meeting with clients, interpreting reports and data, as well as ensuring the overall satisfaction of the client. Contract retention, negotiation, upsells and program design (both product and incentive) were a common part of the job. A few of the most notable customers included, PepsiCo, King County, WA and Medtronic.

During the summer of 2005, I began working with our Operations leadership team in the role of Call Center Supervisor. In this role, I was responsible for the day-to-day management of 100+ health professionals, workforce management and intra-day planning. I approved all time off requests, was responsible for tracking and approving time cards, as well as interfacing with the account management teams and helping to coordinate training based on forecasted business demand. During this time, I also supported our sales efforts in offsite, as well as onsite finalist presentations.

Working in our employer market, I was responsible for the behavior change support of up to 600 program participants at any one time. Through scheduled appointments, I would meet with individuals one-on-one by telephone, and help them to make informed decisions and find the reasons or barriers that inhibited them from making positive lifestyle changes to improve their health. Topics of health varied, but primarily focused on tobacco cessation, weight loss (through healthy diet and exercise) and stress management.
