Responsible for the daily operations of Mizzou VMS, a free and confidential team mentoring service in which selected entrepreneurs are paired with teams of successful volunteer business mentors. Patterned after the original model developed at M.I.T., Mizzou VMS is an educational program and team consulting service based on the belief that an innovation is far more likely to thrive when an entrepreneur with an idea can draw on the advice and guidance of a group of mentors with proven skills and experience. Through active support of entrepreneurs, Mizzou VMS contributes to the entrepreneurship education of the MU Community, strengthens the role of the University as a leader in innovation and in the promotion of economic developmentResponsibilities include: Recruiting, screening and ongoing training of volunteer mentors Recruiting, screening and pitch preparation of entrepreneur applicants Acted as a resource connector for entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial ecosystem Serve on the mentoring team of more than 40 entrepreneurs and start-ups Coordinating and tracking mentoring sessions, volunteer hours and progress towards goals Planning and coordinating meetings, training sessions and events including the annual UM System Entrepreneurial Educators Summit
