Senior BuyerBoeing Feb 1990 - Jul 1997I worked for McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, CA and in Macon, GA prior to it being purchased by Boeing. The week that I quit, was the week in which Boeing took ownership. I was on several commercial programs, the last of which was the MD-11 (an upgraded DC-10). Before transferring to Georgia, I was part of the C-17 military program. That was the only aircraft that was built in the Macon, GA facility. I procured a variety of commodities (castings, forgings, tooling, and so forth) with a max value of $1M.
