Southeast Career Techncial Academy

The program was set up for students to progress through 3 consecutive years starting with the 10th grade. It was a coconscious of the school that most students had not developed a true understanding of what each major consisted of at such a young age. The 10th grade students worked a rotation between welding, automotive repair and auto body and painting. Hopefully by the end of their sophomore year students could make a decision on the direction they wanted to go.Southeast Career Technical Academy’s automotive program was already NAFTE certified and AYES accredited. The program is set to work with two instructors to help reduce classroom size and provide a higher personalized training. We use the AYES syllabus which correlate with CCSD Syllabi and in most instances exceeds it. Stick safety guidelines in the work place is stressed and enforced, PPI, and OSHA, SP2, Personal Development Programs, Motorists Assurance Program (MAP), MACS. All facets of ASE discipline, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, T4, T5, and ASE Auto Parts. Students may receive an opportunity to job shadow in local dealerships. Southeast Career Technical Academy maintains a local Advisory Committee maintained and directed by local automotive dealerships, parts companies, and independents, as directed in the AYES Manual.

Desert Pines High School

I opened this school and set program in place. Taught a very diverse population, students excelled and graduated high school, many went straight into the work force some choose college. The students of Desert Pines are very special to me. The program was set up for students to progress through 3 consecutive years starting with the 10th grade. It was a conscious of the school district that most students had not developed the maturity level to work in an automotive environment.I taught safety in the work place, PPI, and OSHA, SP2, Personal Development Programs, Motorists Assurance Program (MAP), MACS. All facets of ASE discipline, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, T4, T5, and ASE Auto Parts.
