I've been in a few industries, mostly IT, but also customer service and food service. In my most recent position, I tested web-based applications for workflow management and document processing. I was the lead tester on projects that would be handed to multi-million-dollar mortgage institutions. My co-workers knew me to be a politic, personable, and willing teammate who takes pride in being proficient at my job. I am ISTQB certified and am comfortable working with SQL and MS SQL management studio. I've worked in the past with Selenium; my experience with automation is minimal, but it is an area I'd like to get into more in the future. I got to work in an Agile environment, transitioning from a waterfall model. I found that the short work cycle and clear goals emphasized in that framework suited me very well.In addition to my primary duties, I also maintained documentation, edited user manuals, and trained new hires.I've worked more customer-facing jobs as well. I've worked as tech support for satellite TV customers, customer service for an internet service provider, and managed small teams in a coffee shop. Every experience has helped me build a solid foundation to approach new challenges with enthusiasm and perspective. On a personal note, I am married. I have two dogs and I am an author with two novels and other works under my belt.
