This facility is part of St. David's HealthCare, a non-profit venture with HCA Healthcare, offering a vast array of services, including superior women’s health services, 24-hour emergency, neurology and neurosurgery, a kidney transplant program, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. The facility is home to St. David's Children’s Hospital, St. David’s Surgical Hospital, St. David's Women’s Center of Texas, and the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery. My responsibilities included IT portfolio management, operations, budgeting, and information protection programs. The high-performance culture I cultivated within the IT department significantly contributed to St. David's HealthCare earning the esteemed Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Alaska Regional, with more than 1,000 employees and a medical staff comprising over 550 independent practitioners, delivers an expansive array of health services to the community. I pioneered the integration of HCA’s VPN infrastructure linking Alaska Regional Hospital with GCI’s Healthcare network. The network connects over 250 clinics, hospitals, and allied healthcare organizations, facilitating a secure and reliable exchange of health-related data statewide outreach growth initiatives.

I also dealt with complex technology issues and managed outsourced third-party vendor partnerships. Operating out of Anchorage, AK, and reporting to the corporate headquarters in Richmond, VA, I was the exclusive IT engineer, overseeing desktop, server, network, telecom, and electronic health record operations for the organization’s contract with the State of Alaska to adjudicate Medicaid claims.
