Having begun college as a business student, I laid a solid foundation of business and management practices. After two years, I changed my major to history with a minor in anthropology and graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M International University in 2012. After teaching high school for a short time, I spent six months in the oilfield before deciding to return to school to study engineering. Between 2010 and 2017, I worked a cumulative 5 years as a university writing consultant, employing various learning strategies to strengthen individuals' and groups' writing skills. I developed and led presentations, workshops, and training materials designed for learners, consultants, and educators. I also provided supplemental instruction for university classes with a historically higher-than-average drop/fail rate. It was during this time that I gained experience leading others to meet department short-term and long-term goals.Since then, I've accepted three paid internships at NASA, where I gained hands-on CAD and coding experience with Python, LabVIEW, Git, Bash, and C++. I've used these skills for data acquisition, simulation, and data analysis. I've used Markdown and become competent using the Linux, Mac OS, and Windows command lines.I recently took an entry-level IT position and have been gaining valuable experience in network and systems administration. For this position, I've obtained a Secret-level security clearance. My work so far has focused on building new computer systems and servers, virtual machines and servers, remote network and computer/server management, and reconfiguring Windows for enhanced security.
