During my two years at Amazon, I was tasked to undertake and asses; the building research on the environmental establishment of the building, as well as energy and environmental design assessment for environmental design, and how this can be improved on a quarterly basis, I was also tasked with completing internal sustainability and renewable energy assessments and to come up with countermeasures in order to maintain positive correlating metrics within the waste produced by amazon inc, and organising and reporting my finding in board meetings on completing my assessments in order to comply with the BREEAM certifications. I was also tasked with advising on the latest low to zero-carbon technologies as well as being a key figure in directing and managing the progression of the projects that have been put in place.As part of l daily duties I was charged with; planning to collect, managing and delegating the workload throughout my team as well as collecting the data and reports at the end of the day and finalising their work and if necessary, correcting mistakes or oversights in the data or data analysis and providing creative criticism as an aid and to support them throughout their work.An additional responsibility is the management of donations and liquidations within the centre as such this was under my purview and was my responsibility to contact and communicate with the vendors with regard to how they would like to process their products at the end of the season, the highest level of production we are requested to do Is liquidation and destroy, thus making it my responsibility to procure and liaison with a secondary company such as Biffa to fully recycle and dispose of each of the different items in the most renewable way as possible reducing the overall waist sent as general waste thus, preventing it from ending up in a landfill.An even more so important skill I have been able to develop is developing the site as a business as with e cost of living crisis, it is now more important than ever for businesses to diversify in order to flourish and withstand the ever-increasing pressure the financial crisis is having on local and national companies, this was achievable through charity donations as a form of tax relief and local environmental clean-up in order to uphold environmental stewardship which in its self can ensure benefits such as government funding increasing the company’s capital over the four quarters, I am very keen to see how I can expand and implement a number of different projects in order to benefit other industries.
