Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI) was established in 2002 to support people, facing barriers to inclusion, to make a contribution to their community, through developing skills and gaining real work experience. CCI are grounded in and passionate about asset based, person centred principles and believe that individuals should be valued for their interests, abilities and contribution to their community and not defined by their disability, illness or disadvantage.​​CCI is governed by a Board of Directors made up of volunteers from the local area who bring a range of social and business skills to the running of the Charity.

Leading a team focused on delivering interventions through programmes, projects and other funds, in order to make a positive, visible impact on communities and businesses in places across the South of Scotland. Ensuring the effective management and delivery of a range of interventions, from small scale grants to major development investments by working collaboratively and building connections with key partners.

Managing a team of both Economic Infrastructure Development Specialists and Economic Infrastructure Project Managers focused on developing and delivering SOSE’s economic infrastructure opportunities to drive Innovation, Economic impact, Fair Work and Equalities, and the Transition to Net Zero.

Managing team of 10 as overall delivery lead of five Energy Efficiency Transition Pilot projects funded by Scottish Government, including:Change Works in Peebles (in partnership with Scottish Borders Council)Change Works in Penicuik (in partnership with Midlothian Council)Edinburgh Old Town Energy Project (in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council)Change Works in Burntisland (in partnership with Fife Council)Change Works in ArgyllThese projects piloted a new, integrated and innovative approach to support the ambitions within Energy Efficient Scotland. They provides insight on the progress, challenges, key learnings and recommendations across the domestic, non-domestic, capital works and supply chain programmes.

Responsible for managing the successful delivery of the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Conservation Action Plan by overseeing the successful development and implementation of 70 distinct projects. Facilitating, co-ordinating and managing the implementation of the CAVLP programme of activities within both North and South Lanarkshire whilst raising awareness of the local community to the value and importance of the landscape in the Clyde Valley. My role ensures the effective application of available resources in promoting, assisting and developing links with communities, private landowners and the farming communities to realise the aims of CAVLP. This Project is a partnership between North and South Lanarkshire Councils, Scottish National Heritage, Central Scotland Green Network Trust, RSPB Scotland, Rural Development Trust, Forestry Commission, New Lanark Trust, Clydesdale Community Initiative.CAVLP is supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Senior Local Fundraising Manager for Cancer Research UK in Scotland. Managing high value events and supporting key individuals in their plans to raise funds to Cancer Research UK. Particular responsibility for setting up, developing and managing charity partnerships with corporate organisations in Glasgow.

Working as a key member of a team to deliver fundraising income from corporate partnerships,community groups and key high value individuals to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Director with responsibility for marketing, PR and client contact. My commitment to customer service at Archibald Photography led to the company being recognised through the prestigious VOWS Awards; three times as a finalist and once winning the overall and much coveted best photography company award. The VOWS Awards were set up in Scotland to recognise wedding businesses who keep their promises and deliver excellent customer service.

The main objective of my role was to generate income to fund the charity’s scientific programme through the implementation ofa community fundraising strategy. Responsible for the Dumfries and Galloway, Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and South Glasgowareas.

Worked as key member of a small team pre- and post-opening to establish this visitor attraction as a must see exciting, entertaining and educational tourism site in Glasgow.

Employed by this Victorian style children’s theatre and touring company (temporary basis on return from travel abroad) with responsibility for box office administration, marketing of touring company to theatres in UK and abroad, marketing of theatre to target groups including schools, community groups, coach operators, general public.

• Managing their Scotland wide marketing function including developing 3 year marketing plans for their 5 Scottish offices.• Identifying opportunities and delivering marketing, HR and IT training consultancy to their small family business clients.• Designing and delivering IT training in Microsoft Office suite of products to BDO’s 150 strong workforce.• Providing HR support to the Scottish firm by implementing Investors in People.

Along with a colleague, I set up a small company to provide consultancy and training to small companies. This included:• IT training in Microsoft Office products for a range of different sized companies.• Business and marketing planning consultancy to a range of clients.• Human resource assistance to small and medium sized businesses.• Developing and implementing a marketing and networking strategy for our own consultancy business.

I joined Pannell Kerr Forster straight from University as a Consultant within their Business Development and Marketing Group and worked between their Glasgow and Edinburgh offices providing consultancy support to their clients in marketing, HR and business planning.
