This business was an idea based on my passion for building stuff. My grandfather was a homebuilder and shared his passion for quality construction with my family. I decided to test the waters. It worked. The challenge is that construction has tight margins, especially in the post-frame building business.Consulting and construction for post frame buildings. MontaVista Software is an embedded Linux software development and professional services organization based out of San Jose, CA.Performed in a leadership role for all PS operations activities world-wide, as a program/project manager, and as the Organizational Quality Manager, and Agile coach responsible for strategic and tactical planning for quality management/assurance/control and process improvements. Additionally, engaged in project recovery activities for critical programs. Through successful change management, I was able to increase contract value to over $20M within the first 6 months. Responsible for overall program and project management, P&L, sub-k management, enterprise architecture, software/systems architecture, people management, and other duties as assigned. Leader of five operational groups with direct report managers performing software development, project management, systems administration, database administration, and quality assurance/testing/verification/validation. 56 direct reports and 2 sub-contractors.Key accomplishments:• Key producer in $17.5M contract win at Tinker AFB, OK; • Contract farmed with change orders to $20.2M within six months;• Exceeded revenue goals by 14%, and profit goals by 20%

Director and Program Manager for Midwest City / Tinker AFB operations in USAF IT O&M Services vertical. I was the leader of five major programs with direct report managers performing software development, project management, systems administration, database administration, engineering, and quality assurance/testing/verification/validation. The General Dynamics Information Technology - Network Solutions group had revenues in excess of $120 million dollars per year providing network design, technology, and infrastructure services to the USAF. Network Solutions group is the leader in USAF CITS infrastructure projects having provided fiber, copper, and infrastructure upgrades to over 75% of the world's USAF bases.In this transition role as a Director and deputy for the VP of Network Solutions, I was responsible for executive reporting, general business management, staffing, training, business development, p&p, p&l, project management, and other duties as assigned. Over 120 direct reports and ~400 sub-contractors. During my tenure the team was able to significantly improve our pWin and service delivery quality by leaning and standardizing our processes and the ways the teams worked together resulting in more revenue and better service to customers.

Performed roles as a Contract Project Manager, Chief Software and Systems Architect, Project Manager, Team Leader, Business Analyst / Process engineer, Business Developer, Technical Writer. Also performed program management functions as a deputy to the Sr. Program Manager for the region. IMRI was a professional services organization and SBA small business 8A in the public sector.I was a task lead and software developer on a 14-month long contract to design and develop a Web-based workflow management tool for a manual technical order corrections process. This rather large and complex application was used to manage Technical Order Manuals (TO) for the Boeing/Rockwell B-1 Lancer System Program Office. Performed as a senior software developer using the following technologies: Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, Java, HTML, Oracle Forms/Reports, Oracle DB design/development. This was one of my first experiences using iterative development, RAD/JAD, and extreme programming to successfully deploy a complex application on-time, on-budget, and with high-quality that received an award from the client.Also responsible for designing and developing custom in-house solutions using classic ASP and MS SQL server for IMRI and other clients like KBB.com.
