Schedule work flow with the production assembly group, and coordinate electrical and environmental validation testing for the efficient throughput of various military Satellite Communications (SATCOM) equipment. Perform first article testing of new systems for engineering.Test high frequency RF / microwave micro miniature electronic card assemblies (MCAs) to component level for analog and digital circuits. Facilitate the testing of RF electronics such as RF amplifiers, RF couplers, RF switches, frequency synthesizers and wave guides. Troubleshoot to component level and provide research and development (R&D) support; utilizing a strong ability to read schematics, as well as incorporating standard test measurement and diagnostics equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.

Aided the director of RF engineering in the development of embedded (microprocessor controlled) COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmitters and receivers for the U.S. and international broadcasting industry, as well as federal and state law enforcement agencies. Performed manual and software modifications and troubleshot manufacturing and engineering errors. Utilized equipment such as oscilloscopes, circuit analyzers, frequency meters and watt meters to test signal strength and quality, transmission capacity, interference, and signal delay.

Supported the development, qualification testing, and deployment of RF microwave communications hardware used for real time integrated simultaneous battlefield communication systems as part of C4 SATCOM Division. Ensured electronics assembly to MIL standards and soldering to J-standards.Evaluated and debugged prototypes for next generation L-band, C-band, and X and Ku-band up and down converters. Utilized the appropriate equipment to determine most efficient course of action, and wrote acceptance test procedures and alignment/troubleshooting charts.Acted as a liaison between engineering and production departments to direct the introduction of new products to the manufacturing facility. Trained test technicians in precise RF measurements in order to ensure accurate and repeatable data, as well as usage / calibration of test equipment.
