Current Project – Outsource Transaction Mapping to 3rd Party:o Performed in-depth analysis and met with 3rd party EDI providers to determine the viability of outsourcing our EDI translation processing. This transition relieves Belk of new translation software expenses, server hardware/software and implementation expenses, along with the server maintenance and software upgrades/fixes.o Created detailed X12 mapping specification documents for the provider including the input file layout and x12 mapping instructions for each segment and element, including mapping rules.o Created new AS2 communication connections to transmit data between Belk and the service provider.o Worked closely with the provider to migrate all Belk EDI VAN traffic to a new Managed Services VAN.o Performed reviews of each vendor mapping document to ensure consistency with Belk mapping documents.o Performed comprehensive testing of each transaction mapping. • Implemented the following EDI transactions/projects:o 816 (Organizational Relationships) – This document provides our domestic suppliers a current cross reference between Stores and Distribution Center including address information.o 820 (Remittance Advice) – This document provides selected trading partners a method to cross reference a Belk ACH payment to vendor Invoice number.o 824 (Application Advice) – This document provides a method to notify vendors of specific errors found on vendor submitted Invoices and Advance Ship Notices.o 864 (Text Message) – This document provides the Belk EDI business team a method to send notifications directly to Belk’s EDI trading partners.o On-boarded several new Belk Private Label offshore merchandise vendors on AS2 communications, and worked closely with the vendors to understand non-X12 file structures that must be transmitted to Belk for Invoice payments.

Online and Mobile Channel - Self Service Expansion Business Project Consultant within the Self Service Expansion team. This team manages Online & Mobile projects from the Business perspective providing self service functions to the customer that free Banking Center and Call Center associates to focus on revenue generating tasks.

Senior Systems Analyst assigned to the Mobile Banking project. Mobile Banking is a multi-platform integration utilizing five 3rd party service providers, desktop browsers, mobile web browsers and secure Web Service API interfaces using SSL mutual authentication, digital signatures and SSO. My primary duties include: * Responsible for creating the System Requirements Specification (SRS) document, detailing the functional and non-functional system requirements and Web Services necessary to interface with each service provider.* Responsible for creating the User Interface Specifications document for the Ally Mobile Banking app and the Ally ATM Locator app based on the iOS platform. This document defines each view, navigations, modals, alerts, controls, transitions, field edits, API interfaces, error codes and http status codes. This is the key document provided to our 3rd party mobile application developer for building out the Ally apps.

o International Logistics: Implemented the x12 315 transaction set to track intermodal shipments from Belk’s Asian trading partners from the point it left the factory, through each port, entry into US and Customs till the point it reached a Belk distribution center. Using this data, we created a tracking application where the buyers could track each event, such as the date and time arrived and departed from each port.o International Purchasing: Implemented international versions of the X12 transaction sets 850 and 856 for trading with our Asian trading partners, including segments and elements not used in domestic purchasing, such as customs related data. During this project, I worked closely with our Asian trading partners, International logistic partners, Avery Dennison and other service providers.o Implemented EDIINT AS2 Capability: Implemented the Inovis BizManager communications application to transition Belk from a traditional VAN utilizing AT&T MDNS communication lines to an AS2 based IP protocol platform for communicating directly to trading partners, bypassing the per KC charges when routing through a VAN.o Collaborated with external business partners, service providers and many internal corporate departments such as AP, AR, Merchandising, Logistics, HR (PeopleSoft) and Private Label (International) on all EDI related projects.o Technical lead on all 3rd party software implementations and upgrades in the EDI space, including IBM WebSphere Data Interchange and Inovis BizManager, a process that had formerly been contracted out to 3rd party service providers. o Worked closely with 3rd party software and service providers to identify and resolve system problems and coordinate updates and fixes.o Performed all X12 transaction mapping.o Identified and resolved production X12 data and EDI software problems.o Integrated all EDI transaction sets from 60 SAKs stores acquired by Belk, into the EDI processing stream.
