I oversee day-to-day activities of the Sustainability Group, including; • Leading engagement with the upstream and downstream supply chain, government regulators, international standard-setters, civil society, and representing an upstream sector voice in multi-stakeholder working groups to secure collaboration and support for sustainability actions in producing areas • Developing strategies, tools, guidance and other frameworks to support company due diligence systems in accordance with international standards including OECD, EU and other requirements• Facilitating better understanding of complex socio-political challenges and human rights related to natural resource trade in potential conflict-affected and high-risk areas, in particular need for action relating to legislative and market requirements• Developing new responsible sourcing projects and initiatives to enable responsible mining and sourcing from higher risk areas and supporting improved outcomes for artisanal and small-scale miners• Proposing and implementing opportunities for impact measurement• Managing day-to-day sustainability activities including related to climate change, artisanal mining and other regulatory requirements• Contributing legal expertise as required Show less
