My name is Marta Becchetti. I’m 27, and I am currently working for Cooperation and Development (C&D) in Moroto, Karamoja region (Uganda) as the Project Manager of the EU IOYPE project. I started to work in C&D as a Civil Servant for one year from July 2023 to July 2024 in the role of Assistant Project Manager. Based in Moroto, Karamoja region, supporting the Youth Skilling Program funded by the EU, named “Increased Opportunities for Youth Participation and Empowerment” (IOYPE). The project aims to create Self-employment for marginalized youth from 18 to 35 years, to increase their actual economic status. The other Project component is Advocacy and Governance where youth are trained to advocate for their rights. During the last year, I have learned Project Management skills, including planning and implementing activities. I support the Team on Field duties and report to Project Management. Since August I have been supporting C&D as Project Manager of the same project. From August I am supporting C&D as Project Manager of the same project.
