Degree and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences, I have gained experience in the geospatial science sector. My initial interest was on natural hazard mapping (flood and fires) using remote sensing and GIS techniques, then I moved my field of expertise and research to the development of spatially explicit indicators for landscape monitoring, environmental impacts of land cover changes, natural resources evaluation. I have taught geography in secondary schools and I have broadened my fields of interest to population growth and sustainable use of natural resources, urban growth, and periurban agriculture. I have contributed to the development of the Food Policy of my city, Milano, with a study on the environmental impacts related to the food system. In the last years, I have worked on the development of a monitoring system for Milan's Food Policy and its contribution to the UN's SDGs. I have a special interest in volunteered geography information and citizen science and I have a good experience in project evaluation. I am the mother of 1 daughter and 2 sons born respectively in 2003, 2006 and 2010.
