I’m a Transformative & Empowerment Coach and a survivor of childhood sexual abuse.I am NOT an expert in the field of personal development and trauma healing.Let me explain…it’s called personal development for a reason. My personal development is…well…personal. To me. And yours is personal to you.Neither my Criminology degree nor my certifications in Coaching, entitle me to have a say about your life.You, and only you, are the owner, creator, and writer of your own story.As similar as our experiences may be, we are fundamentally different and, as such, we interpret the world differently.When it comes to trauma healing it gets even more complex.There are a lot of amazing people studying, researching, and doing amazing work in this field (e.g. Gabor Maté, Alex Howard, Bessel van der Kolk etc.).I am not one of those people. I’m not a scientist, a researcher, or even an academic. And I don’t want to be.As someone who reads and studies a lot, I know society values work from these “experts” more than the actual experiences of survivors.The studying, researching, and work I do is on myself and my clients. That’s the knowledge I’m interested in.Don’t take me wrong, learning from the *experts* is essential and it informs my work and my practice. But I am only an expert in MY experience. Just like you are the expert in YOUR experience.I have been on a long journey of self-discovery and healing. My next step is to guide, support and empower you on your journey.My job is not to teach you how to heal trauma.
