Tasks and responsibilities included: acting as liaison officer between UK counterpart and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of the Interior; security details and overall programme coordination.

As part of the Press & Public Affairs team: I contributed to the design and implementation of strategic communication plans and campaigns on specific government priorities, by developing key messages and engaging with internal and external stakeholders; I drafted media briefs, articles, speeches, interviews and press releases; I led on the organisation and delivery of public diplomacy/soft power events; I assisted in managing the Embassy's and Ambassadors's social media accounts, at times through the creation of original digital content (including shooting and editing videos); I coordinated internal communications by assisting and advising Embassy senior staff & HR on the delivery of important or sensitive messages; I maintained good relationships with Italian journalists and UK correspondents in Rome. As Visits Officer, I coordinated all logistical elements (security, transport, accommodation) linked to Ministerial visits to Italy. I liaised with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Protocol Office, airport authorities, local security. I oversaw the Embassy Visit's team to ensure the smooth delivery of high level visits.
