E' Responsabile di stabulario e promotore della bioetica nel campo della Sperimentazione Animale.Marta Piscitelli, DVM, is the Director of the Animal Facility at the ENEA, Research Centre Casaccia.She is responsible for the overall management of this facility. As veterinarian she is also in charge of the laboratory animal care and welfare and is directly involved in most experiments where handling of the animals is needed.Supervisor of all the experimental procedures involving animals, including authorization and regulatory procedures. She started her job at the ENEA as a fellowship holder in 1989 and holds a permanent position since 1995. Her major interests are bioethics and the welfare of animals in biomedical research, in particular on issues related to pain and distress.She has an extensive training on bioethical approach to human clinical issues.Founder of the Bioethical Committee on animal experimentation of the ENEA, she is member of two clinical bioethics Committees.
