SEEA and SEEA Asia are part of Schneider’s Sustainable Development strategy and their main purpose is to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7) – Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all – by financially supporting companies whose operations have a positive impact on SDG 7. Missions:• Ensuring deal-flow generation through networking, market research and building long-term relationship with key stakeholders; • Critically appraising investment proposals including in-depth analysis of all aspects of business plans, including financial and impact analysis and due diligence;• Preparing and defending investment applications for consideration by the Advisory Committee; • Organizing and implementing existing investments’ follow-up processes, including monitoring potential risks, social and financial performance; • Supporting the portfolio companies and participating to governance bodies where appropriate; • Assessing portfolio companies’ needs that can be answered by Schneider Electric technical assistance and more widely creating fruitful relationship with the Schneider Electric ecosystem where appropriate;• Identifying and working with potential co-investors to secure follow-ons and exits for portfolio companies;• Taking part of various networks on energy gap and impact investing;• Conducting researches on the targeted countries to better understand their specificities, identify the key stakeholders and global energy ecosystem;• Supporting the fund raising of SEEAA (new vehicle dedicated to South Asia - €20M), including the negotiation of the shareholders agreement and the definition of the investment policy and process.
